The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that tests in large number were conducted in the state during the door to door survey under the ‘Kill Corona’ campaign and treatment is being given to every single patient after identifying them. Owing to this, the mortality rate has declined in the state. The infection has come down in some districts of the state, but it has increased in a few districts. Keeping in view the situation in districts, district wise strategy should be prepared to eliminate corona in the state. Officers In-Charge must tour districts and make effective efforts to eliminate corona by holding meeting with District Crisis Management Group.

The Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the situation of Corona and arrangements in the state through video conferencing at Mantralaya. The Minister for Home Dr. Narottam Mishra, Minister for Medical Education, Bhopal Gas Tragedy, Relief and Rehabilitation Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Vivek Johri and Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman were present on the occasion.

95 percent survey completed under ‘Kill Corona’ Campaign

Under the ‘Kill Corona’ campaign, the work of health survey of 95 percent population of the state has been completed. Under the campaign, samples of one lakh 5 thousand 679 people have been taken and out of these 1831 people have been found corona positive. The positivity rate has been 1.73 percent.

Deal with strictness in infected areas

During the review of Tikamgarh district, it was found that there is more positivity rate of corona cases. The Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that strict measures should be taken in infected areas; there is no need for lockdown. In the review of Rewa, instructions were given for taking precautions.

Pay attention to isolation

The Chief Minister Chouhan instructed that attention should be paid to isolation after the contact tracing of corona infected patients. In case, houses are small and there is no arrangement for quarantine than people should be kept under institutional quarantine.

Decline in mortality rate

The Additional Chief Secretary Health has informed that the mortality rate has declined by one percent in the state in the last 15 days. The current mortality rate of Madhya Pradesh is 3.38 percent. The number of corona tests in Madhya Pradesh has increased and 6726 tests per 10 lakh population are being conducted in the state. The positivity rate of the state is 3.68 percent and recovery rate is 69.3. The corona growth rate of the state is 2.94 percent.

CM Chouhan congratulates Ujjain and directs Gwalior to take precautions

The Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated the team of Ujjain district for constantly decline in corona infection. At the same time, he instructed for taking special precautions because of increase of infection in Gwalior. Six new cases of corona have come to the fore in Ujjain, whereas 121 new cases have surfaced in Gwalior. Jabalpur and Khandwa have also been instructed to take precautions.
