Major Govind Rao Rangnekar: He commanded the Gwalior IS Transport Corps in the First World War. He joined the Gwalior State Forces in 1907. He was posted to Mesopotamia and then on the Afghan front during the Third Afghan War. He was awarded the OBI (2nd class).
