#KnowYourSaviour – Shivam Verma (IAS), CEO Zila Panchayat, #Gwalior and In-charge for Contact Tracing & Hospital Management
ACCOMPLISHMENTS SO FAR: Under the leadership of Collector sir, we have performed very well in controlling coronavirus. There has been no major community transmission of corona, no major outbreak or #hotspot. Under National Rural Livelihood Mission (#NRLM), hundreds of women of self-help groups have created more than Rs. 25 lakh worth of masks and other essentials such as PPE kit and sanitizers. They have setup stores in Maharaj Bada, Inderganj & Haat Bazaar Phool Bagh. Their #products are today purchased by offices & shopkeepers. Our online #panchayat taxation system so successful that it was replicated in entire states by the government. To provide reliable online services during lockdown, we launched #ServeGwalior app which is run by our women SHGs. App is handled by a team of professional who were trained by us. App benefitted #farmers as they could easily sell their fruits & #vegetables online during lockdown. App was launched on 26 January with majorly females handling the back-end & their husbands doing the delivery. It proved to be a successful venture with Rs. 1.5 crore turnover. We are officials not businessman, but we did our best. We have been increasing no. of works in MGNREGA to employ incoming persons. Around 6000 more persons have been roped in #MGNREGA. We are also planning to provide employment to skilled workers in coordination with District Industries Centre and Employment Office. For this we are maintaining a database of #skill sets of incoming persons. I lead the corona contact tracing team and with the help of Collector sir, we tracked & stopped further transmission of virus. Zila Panchayat services frontline ground workers have also worked really well in stopping #coronavirus outbreak in rural areas.
SCHEDULE: I start my work from 8 am by monitoring different Zila Panchayat works, #NREGA, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana & Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission developments. I am also the in-charge for contact #tracing, identifying low & high risk #corona contacts which takes a lot of time. After finishing file work at home, I sleep around 1 am.
MAIN FOCUS: To contain #COVID19 spread. And to continue our development works following physical distancing and other safety norms.
DIET PLAN THESE DAYS: Regular diet with warn water in between the day. I also take #kaada in the morning instead of tea.
MOTIVATION: Work and its positive results motivate me. I walk in the evening and play #badminton.
NEXT STEP: Provide gainful & meaningful #employment to people coming from outside. Also managing to revamp the workplace without people getting infected due to corona. State #Government has appreciated Serve Gwalior app and we will be enhancing it further.
MESSAGE TO GWALIOR: These are difficult and trying times. We have to change our routines and incorporate the health #safety measures in our lifestyles. Be safe and be protected, together we can fight this pandemic.
