Sas-Bahu Temple, Gwalior Fort. Corrupted from the original expression Sahastra Bahu, literally meaning thousand armed, this complex comprises two temples: the more elaborate large temple, and the less ornate #temple built on a plinth. Built around late 11th Cen CE, the large temple interior is richly #ornate and its walls, columns, ceiling and lintels are profusely carved with images of deities and floral / geometric patterns. Interesting is to observe #conservation attempts in 1881 by Major HH Cole.
