The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that full help of community should be taken to prevent spread of coronavirus infection in the state. He directed the Health department to prepare an effective system in this matter. A presentation on Community based Surveillance System was given by the Heath department, under which ‘Sarthak Light App’ and ‘Covid Mitra’ can be made for the convenience of the citizens.
Chouhan was reviewing the situation of Corona and arrangements in the state through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. The Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Vivek Johri, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other officers were present on the occasion.
Proposed ‘Sarthak Light App’
The ACS Health informed that under the proposed ‘Sarthak Light App’, any citizen will be able to register himself/herself on the basis of mobile number and address. Information as regard to the nearest Covid treatment facilitation centre and nearest sample collection centre will be given through this app. As soon as high risk patient (Sari/I.L.I) will register himself/herself on the app, immediately a SMS will be received by him/her that where he/she has to go for health checkup/test. Ambulance services will also be provided from the Help Line centre 104.
Covid Mitra
It was informed through presentation that Covid Mitra can be made in urban areas under the first phase. They will be provided with Oxymeter to enable them to check oxygen level of people. Any healthy individual up to 45 years of age, social organization and voluntary organization can become Covid Mitra.
Maintain better coordination with private hospitals
During the review of Jabalpur district, Chouhan instructed that better coordination should be maintained with private hospitals. In case of any negligence on their part, action should be taken against them after serving notice. Even small negligence in treatment will not be forgiven. Chouhan was reviewing the corona related death cases of Jabalpur district.
Mortality rate is less because of high testing
It was found during the review of Gwalior district that there is less mortality rate because of high testing. Out of the 251 positive cases, 163 patients went back home after the recovery. There are 86 active cases and 2 patients have succumbed to corona. Mortality rate is 0.8 percent and positivity rate is about 01 percent. The Chief Minister directed that full efforts should be made in future too to prevent spread of infection. On demand of the Collector, permission was granted to shut down market for a day.
Now effective control in Indore
The ACS Health Suleman informed that the situation of Indore is continuously improving. Indore stood at 7th place among the most infected cities of the country. Indore’s national share of Corona has become 1.30 percent, which was very high in the past.
State’s Corona Recovery Rate is 69.3 percent
The Chief Minister Chouhan informed that the recovery rate of the state has reached 69.3 percent, while the recovery rate of the country is 49.9 percent. Similarly, the positivity rate of the state is 4.33 percent, whereas the country’s positivity rate is 5.61 percent. Moreover, the doubling rate of Madhya Pradesh has come down to 33 days.
Less than 10 corona patients in 20 districts
The ACS Health informed that there are less than 10 corona patients in 20 districts of the state. At the same time, 5 districts namely Alirajpur, Hoshangabad, Seoni, Sehore and Sidhi are Corona free districts.
