Strict action should be taken against the illegal excavators and transporters of sand and stone in Gwalior. Collector instructed in the meeting of District Task Force Committee –

— Joint team of officers of Police, Forest, Revenue and Minerals Department will be formed to stop illegal mining and transportation
— In view of guidelines of the Green Tribunal and due to rainy season, the Department of Minerals should also issue guidelines regarding the storage of sand
— Illegal mining in the forest area should be strictly stopped
— Transit passes should also be examined in mines adjoining the crusher in the district
— Storage of Persian stone should also be investigated
— Detail investigation should be done for persian stone storage at Stone Park
— Action is also being taken to confiscate the vehicle if found attached to illegal mining
— Meeting was attended by SP Navneet Bhasin, DFO Abhinav Pallav, Zila Panchayat CEO Shivam Verma, District Mineral Officer Govind Sharma and other senior officers
