The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed the Police administration to ensure death sentence to culprits involved in heinous crime of rape and death of 3 years old girl in Chhindwara by trying the case in fast track court. The Chief Minister directed the Director General of Police to conduct a thorough and prompt investigation in the incident and to ensure stringent punishment by trying the case in fast track court.

The Chief Minister Chouhan said that under the campaign being conducted against mafia, goons and anti-social elements in the state, such criminals will not be spared under any circumstances. Crime against girls is like a crime against all humanity. Such people will not be spared at any cost. It may be mentioned that while reviewing the law and order situation on July 13 and 20, Chouhan had directed to launch a campaign against mafias. Reviewing the districts through video conferencing, the Chief Minister had instructed the Superintendents of Police and Collectors for action against mafias. The Chief Minister has also conveyed them that they will be held accountable in case of any negligence in action in any district.

Stringent action is being taken against white collor goons and criminals in the state under the campaign being conducted by the Police Administration. A stringent action has been taken by the police against the white collored criminal Pyare Miyan, connected with media, involved in criminal offences with minor girls. He was immediately arrested and his properties, constructed on encroached land were demolished. Thorough investigation is also being conducted in other cases registered against him.

In the campaign against mafias, illegal house built by goon Salman Lala s/o Sheru Lala of Nagda was demolished by the Municipality on July 23. He was a terror in Nagda and people were scared to register their complaints against him. Ten crimes of serious nature i.e. attempt to murder, scuffle, extortion etc. are registered against Salman. A positive message has been conveyed to the people of Nagda area by demolishing his properties under the campaign. The trust among the people has strengthened that government will not keep quite in taking stringent action against goons and criminals.

Success has been achieved in a case of smuggling of Dondachoora by notorious smuggler Abdul s/o Babu Billor in Mandsaur. During checking of a trailer on Rahimgarh Suwasra road, 3.1 tonne Dondachoora in 155 bags was confiscated, which was concealed with the bags of wheat. A driver resident of Patiala was arrested in the case. In the above mentioned crime of Dondachoora smuggling, the absconding notorious smuggler Abdul s/o Babu Billor has been made prime accused. A hunt has been launched against him. The police is investigating the connection of Babu Billor with Pyare Miyan.

Shekhar Lodhi, who was carrying a reward on his head, was injured and arrested in an encounter by the Bhopal Police on July 22. Many cases are registered against him. Police was searching him and a reward of Rs. 25 thousand was also declared on his head.

The campaign against mafias and goons will continue in future too. While giving free hand to the police, Chouhan has instructed that action should be ensured against people involved in drugs trafficking, cooperative mafia involved in property business, chit fund companies, black marketeers of ration, adulterators, habitual criminals, people involved in encroachment and trade of illicit liquor. Instructions have also been given for review of campaign against mafia at DGP level.
