Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken a big decision in the interest of the poor section of the state, according to which 36 lakh 86 thousand 856 poor people of the state who do not have eligibility slips under the National Food Security Act, will also be given eligibility slips and will be provided fair price ration. At present there are 5 crore 44 lakh 24 thousand fair price consumers in the state.

In the meeting on “One Nation-One Ration Card” at Mantralaya, Chief Minister Chouhan said that every poor in the state will now get fair price ration. In times of Corona crisis, it was found that there are many poor people in the state who have not been able to avail fair price ration due to non-possession of eligibility slips.

First, their ration was immediately arranged along with the ration for migrant labourers in the state. Now all 36 lakh 86 thousand such poor have been identified and the work of issuing eligibility slips to them is being started. Now all these people will be registered as fair price ration consumers and they will be able to get fair price ration from the month of August. No poor will be deprived of fair price ration in the state.

Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Bisahulal Singh said that all 25 thousand 490 fair price shops in the state have the facility to register Aadhaar on POS machines. The POS also has the facility of making changes in faulty Aadhaar numbers and numbers registered in other names. While distributing the ration the vendor is also doing the work of aadhar seeding from door-to-door. Aadhaar seeding facility is also being done by local bodies on the Samagra portal. The beneficiaries, who do not have Aadhaar registration, are being told to get registered.

Aadhaar seeding work should be done through campaign

Chief Secretary Bains said that the work of Aadhaar seeding of all fair price beneficiaries should be completed by prompt implementation of One Nation-One Ration Card scheme. The work of adding all eligible people and distribution of eligibility slips should be done on priority basis.
