Madhya Pradesh ranks first in the country in every phase of implementation of Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Yojana. Madhya Pradesh tops in approval of 18 thousand 533 cases on the portal of PM Swanidhi Yojana i.e. 56 percent cases of the country. The state also leads in submitting 82 thousand 652 applications to the banks i.e. 27 percent cases of the country. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was giving information about the achievements of Madhya Pradesh in the webinar of Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atmanirbhar Yojana. Chief Ministers of other states besides Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri and MP J.P. Nadda attended the webinar.

Chief Minister and State lauded

Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri lauded Madhya Pradesh for leading in all parameters of PM Vendors Nidhi Yojana. He enquired about the health of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the webinar and praised him for his spirit. Chief Ministers of other states besides MP J.P. Nadda and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath also wished Chouhan speedy recovery.

Madhya Pradesh leading

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said in the webinar that the Mukhya Mantri Shahari Asangathit Kamgar Ekikrat Portal Urban was launched on June 6 under Atmanirbhar Bharat. So far, 8 lakh 70 thousand 330 street vendors have been registered on the portal. Out of these vendors, 3 lakh 14 thousand 455 have been provided with identity cards along with vendor certificates. Registered vendors are being registered on the portal of Government of India. Till date, 18 thousand 533 loan cases of Madhya Pradesh have been approved on the PM Nidhi portal under the PM Swanidhi Yojana, which is 56 percent of the total approved cases of the country. Madhya Pradesh is also the first state in the country in approval of loans on the PM Swanidhi Portal. Apart from this, before the launch of the portal, 22 thousand 863 applications have been sent offline to the banks and 14 thousand 525 applications have been approved.

Chief Minister Chouhan informed that the Madhya Pradesh government will bear the burden of 7 percent interest at the time of loan repayment by street vendors. The state government has also fixed the stamp duty at Rs 50 only for contracts with banks. This scheme includes 35 professions including barber, manufacturers of bamboo baskets, scrap dealers, blacksmiths, panwadis, cobblers, tea shops, vegetable vendors, flower sellers, clothes sellers, handloom and ice cream parlours.

While giving suggestions in the webinar, Chief Minister Chouhan said that the Aadhar based EKYC is being linked to the mobile number of beneficiaries for quick and effective implementation. He said that the EKYC based biometric Aadhaar along with mobile number will speed up the registration work of street vendors. He also stated the need to issue instructions from the head offices to the branches of the banks. Chouhan said that 64 thousand 119 cases are pending for approval on the PM Swanidhi Portal. Banks will have to be directed to approve the loan cases within the time limit.

The Chief Minister also stated the need to integrate the PM Swanidhi Portal with the Madhya Pradesh Mukhya Mantri Shahari Asangathit Kamgar Ekikrat Portal by the IT team of the Government of India.
