Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has informed that a public awareness campaign “Ek Mask-Anek Zindagi” is being launched from August 1 to 15 in every urban body with the aim of making people aware towards use of masks and also providing them masks. He said that citizens can not only protect themselves from Corona infection by using masks but can also play a role in preventing the spread of the virus. Masks are the simplest and most effective means of preventing Corona infection.

Mask banks will be formed

Instructions have been issued to all municipal commissioners and chief municipal officers to launch this campaign. People will be urged to donate masks to non-government voluntary organizations and citizens in every urban body. Mask banks will be made to collect masks. Donors can donate masks or funds to stitch masks in this bank. With this amount, masks can be made through self-help groups. Free mask distribution will be arranged at major squares. Citizens will be told about the usefulness of masks through announcements, posters and pamphlets at intersections. Instructions have been given to maintain social distance while carrying out all the activities.
