The Gwalior Fort has two gates at its Western frontier, the upper and the lower gate, the latter known as the Urvai Gate. Constructed by Iltutmish in the 13th century as part of the fort’s outer #defence boundary, the gate is also famous for leading the way to multiple massive rock-cut sculptures of the 24 #Jain tirthankaras.
