Corona positivity less than 10 percent in 40 districts
Chain of infection should be strictly broken where cases are not decreasing
CM Shri Chouhan reviews Corona condition and arrangements
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Corona infection is rapidly decreasing in the state. New cases of Corona in the state are now less than 5 thousand. Corona positivity has come down by 10 percent in 40 districts of the state, whereas in nine districts it is less than 5 percent.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that in those districts of the state where cases are not decreasing since the last few days, efforts must be made to break the chain of infection by making a region-wise strategy and strictly adhering to the Kill Corona Campaign and Corona curfew. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have to make every effort to eliminate Corona infection in all the districts of the state by the end of this month, so that efforts can be made to normalize life from next month. All officers in-charge should make an area-specific strategy in their district and implement it strictly under the direction of the ministers in-charge.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was reviewing the situation and arrangements of Corona in the state through video conferencing from his residence today. Ministers, officers in charge and all other concerned persons were present in the VC.
Chain of infection must be broken
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said it was found during the review of Sidhi district that about 80 cases are being reported daily in Sidhi since last three days, the cases are stagnant which proves that the chain of infection has not broken. We must check where the loophole is. The chain of infection must be broken at all costs. In Singrauli district also, about 90 cases are being reported daily for the last few days, the cases are not decreasing. There too, the infection should be removed by strict adherence to Kill Corona Campaign and Corona curfew. Both collectors should note that all precautions must be taken during plucking of tendu patta. Also focus should be on vaccinations.
Cases almost stable in Bhopal
A review of Bhopal district revealed that here also 650 and 700 cases are being reported here for the last few days. This suggests that the chain has not broken in certain areas. Area specific strategy must be chalked out and worked upon to break the chain of infection.
4952 new cases
There are 4952 new cases in the state. In the last 24 hours, 9746 patients have recovered in the state. The active cases are 72725. The weekly positivity rate has been reduced to 9 percent and today’s positivity is 6.4 percent. The state ranks 16th in the country in terms of infection.
More than 200 new cases in 3 districts
More than 200 new cases have been reported in 3 districts of the state and more than 100 new cases have been reported in 9 districts. As many as 1072 new cases have been reported in Indore, 693 in Bhopal, 336 in Jabalpur, 197 in Ujjain, 187 in Sagar, 162 in Ratlam, 158 in Rewa, 135 in Gwalior and 102 in Shivpuri district.
Less than 10 percent positivity in 40 districts
Nine districts of the state have less than 5 percent weekly positivity, while 40 districts have less than 10 percent weekly positivity. Districts with less than 5 percent weekly positivity include Guna, Chhindwara, Bhind, Barwani, Ashoknagar, Burhanpur, Jhabua, Khandwa and Alirajpur and districts with less than 10 percent positivity include Jabalpur, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Damoh, Hoshangabad, Shahdol, Mandsaur, Satna, Dhar, Balaghat, Raisen, Dewas, Morena, Katni, Umaria, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Vidisha, Chhatarpur, Mandla, Singrauli, Agar-Malwa, Seoni, Dindori, Datia, Sheopur, Narsinghpur, Harda, Tikamgarh, Niwari and Neemuch.
Free treatment to 20 thousand 856 patients
As many as 20 thousand 856 patients of Covid are being treated free of cost in the state. Of these, 12 thousand 643 are being treated in government hospitals, 2260 in contracted hospitals and 5953 patients are being treated in private hospitals affiliated under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana. As of today, an expenditure of Rs 7 crore 45 lakh 55 thousand 850 has been incurred by the government on the treatment of patients under the Mukhya Mantri Covid Upchar Yojana.
Criminal case against 72 people for sale of fake drugs, black marketing
Criminal cases have been registered against 72 persons for selling fake Remdesivir and black marketing in the state. Apart from this, action has been taken against hospitals for overcharging. Taking action in a total of 265 cases, an amount of Rs. one crore nine lakh has been refunded to the relatives of patients.
2.9 percent positivity in rural areas
Survey of 80 percent rural population of the state has been conducted under the Kill Corona campaign. As of today, 237 cases out of 3075 tests have tested positive. Today the positivity of rural areas is 2.9 percent while positivity in urban areas is 4.1 percent.
All must join ‘Yoga se Nirog’ programme on May 21
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Shri Shri Ravi Shankar Ji and Yoga Guru Shri Ramdev Ji will give guidance at 12 noon on May 21 under the ‘Yoga se Nirog’ programme being run in the state. He said that maximum number of people, including all home isolation patients, patients of Covid Care Centers, patients of isolation ward, should join and benefit from this programme through web link.
