#Gwalior district crime branch on Friday arrested three people including director of a private hospital, Max Care Hospital, Jhansi Road for black marketing of #Remdesivir injections.
#Police said they had been keeping a close surveillance on supply of lifesaving medicines in the city to curb illegal trades. They received inputs about a hospital that its owner and staff were into black marketing of the Remdesivir. SP #AmitSanghi deployed crime branch team for action.
When #crime branch team reached the hospital, three people who were standing outside tried to flee the spot. All three were arrested after a chase. Frisking led to recovery of two Remdesivir #injections and Rs 35,000 in cash. During interrogation, they admitted that they used to sell these injections to #family members of #Covid-9 positive patients.
Owner of the hospital has no medical qualification. He is just 12th pass, said police. Another accused who is also a 12th pass man was working as an assistant to a doctor. Third one was operating a medical store in the hospital. All three have been booked under various sections. They are being interrogated for more details.
