Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that fast work will have to be done to achieve the goals of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh along with the fight against Covid. The fight against Covid will continue, but focus should be laid on other activities also. Revenue and development work has been affected due to Corona infection, but procurement, MNREGA and tendu patta plucking work continued uninterruptedly. After extensive deliberations, we set a roadmap for Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh and set goals in all areas in August 2020. We were working fast in this direction but due to Corona crisis, many of these works had to be either slowed down or halted. Now that Corona is under control in the state, we must start working in this direction once again. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the concerned officials on the main points of the roadmap of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh from Mantralaya. Chief Secretary Shri Iqbal Singh Bains was also present on the occasion.

Such activities will continue to create employment opportunities

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the four main pillars of the road map of Atmanirbhar Bharat are physical infrastructure, good governance, education and health and economy and employment respectively. With the objective of facing the third possible wave of Corona tasks such as recruitment of doctors, paramedical staff, self-reliance in oxygen, necessary infrastructure development and supply of equipment have to be undertaken under Health. Also in the field of economy and employment, activities have to be undertaken at a fast pace. About 1900 MSME units had been dedicated in the days when Corona was not much in vogue. Such activities will continue to create employment activities.

Activities should be conducted in eight missions

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the year 2023 is the deadline for most of the activities set under the road map of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. Activities have been affected due to Corona. under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Activities have to be conducted under eight missions including Mission Earth, Mission Daksh, Mission Janagana, Mission Niramaya, Mission Bodhi, Mission Nirman, Mission Gramodaya and Mission Nagarodaya respectively. Works under all the missions should be paced up and its monitoring should be started through Atmanirbhar portals.

Work enthusiastically for Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that 906 activities and 3 thousand 25 sub-activities were started in the road map of Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh. It is a matter of pleasure that 796 activities have been completed so far. We have to work steadily in this direction again with enthusiasm. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has said that continuous review of works like preparation of rainy season, maintenance of roads, power system, drinking water system, procurement, preparation of sowing is also necessary.
