Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the cases of corona in the state are declining rapidly. Now corona infection is less than 5% in 45 districts of the state. The state is ranked 19th in the country in terms of infection. Efforts are being made to take corona infection to zero in the state by May 31.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that so far 10 thousand 33 Covid patients have been treated free of cost in affiliated private hospitals in the state under the Mukhyamantri Covid Upchar Yojana. Under the plan, 5810 patients of Corona are currently receiving treatment and 4223 patients have become healthy.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that survey of 100 percent (6 crore 7 lakh 73 thousand 15) rural people has been completed under the Kill-Corona campaign in the state. Cold, fever, cough patients were identified by going from door-to-door and free medical kits were distributed to them. Health tests were done and free medical kits were distributed in urban areas through Covid Assistance Centres.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan reviewed the condition and arrangements of the corona in the state through video conferencing from the residence today.

2182 new cases

There are 2182 new cases of corona in the state. In the last 24 hours, 7486 patients have recovered. The number of active cases is 43 thousand 258. The seven-day average positivity rate of the state is 4.5% and today’s positivity rate is 3.1%.

Positivity rate of more than 5 percent in seven districts

In the seven districts of the state, Indore (8.6%), Bhopal (8.4%), Sagar (7.3%), Ratlam (7%), Rewa (6.5%), Sidhi (5.2%) and Anuppur (7.3%) the weekly average positivity rate is more than 5%. More than 100 new cases have come in three districts Indore (623), Bhopal (433) and Sagar (108).

Additional efforts required in Indore

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan gave directions during the review of Indore district that additional efforts are required to reduce corona infection rapidly there. The drop in cases is slow now. If this remains the case, the infection may increase after the unlock process. Ward committees should be activated and every effort should be made to prevent infection. Indore’s weekly positivity rate is 8.6% and today’s positivity rate is 7.2%. Under the Kill-Corona Campaign Survey, the positivity rate of urban area is 8.2% and that of rural area is 3.4%.

Why Sagar’s positivity is increasing?

During the review of Sagar district, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan asked the collector that when the corona positivity rate is decreasing in the entire state, then why the positivity rate of Sagar is increasing? Where is the laxity? Today’s positivity rate of Sagar is 9.9% and 108 new cases have come here. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed to make every effort to prevent corona infection in the district. He directed to pay special attention to the Bina refinery area.

Be strict but do not be rude to the public

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed all the Collectors and Superintendents of Police to take strict action to prevent corona infection, but the public should not be misbehaved with. There have been a few instances, which are embarrassing. The behaviour with the public should be polite.

Provide oxygen to industries

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan instructed that now there is additional availability of oxygen in the state, so make oxygen available for industries for their use.

Do a lot of testing

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed that maximum testing of corona should be done in all the districts, so that the reality can be known and efforts can be made accordingly.

There should also be arrangements for treatment of other patients

The Chief Minister directed that besides the corona treatment full attention should be given to other diseases in hospitals of all districts,
