Special efforts are being made by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing Bharat Singh Kushwaha to declare the colonies of the Cantonment area as civil areas. On the initiative of Kushwaha, the work of survey and demarcation of land is going on as a joint campaign of the State Government and Cantonment Board. To review this work, Kushwaha took a meeting of the concerned officers on Sunday.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) Kushwaha directed the SDM Murar and other concerned officers present in the meeting to complete this work expeditiously, so that the years old problem of the cantonment area could be resolved. He said that if the colonies of the cantonment area are included in the civil area, various development works can be done there under the schemes of the central and state governments.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing, Bharat Singh Kushwaha has said that the residents of old illegal colonies located in Ward No. 61 to 66 of the city should solve their electricity related problems immediately. The electrical system of these settlements should also be smooth. Shri Kushwaha was reviewing the resolution of electricity related problems in the meeting of the officials of the distribution company last day.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) Kushwaha directed that Khurai sub station should be upgraded at the earliest. Also, there should never be any delay in changing burnt and blown transformers. He said that only transformers of sufficient capacity should be installed keeping in mind the electrical load of the respective habitations so that the power supply remains smooth. He also gave instructions in the meeting to repair the power lines before the rainy season.

On this occasion, Minister of State Kushwaha also stressed on setting up of new power sub-station in village Chakgundhara. Along with this, instructions were also given for laying 11 KV power lines in villages like Chakgundhara, Gundhara, Benipura and Jigniya etc.

The Superintending Engineer Electricity Distribution Company Mr. Sunil Khare and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
