A detailed action plan should be made under Smart City to develop water bodies of rural areas connected with Gwalior city as tourism area. These instructions were given by the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture and Food Processing Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha to the concerned officials in a meeting regarding the development of new wards of the city. Collector Mr. Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, Municipal Commissioner Mr. Shivam Verma and CEO of Smart City Mrs. Jayati Singh and other concerned officers were present in this meeting held last day.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) Shri Kushwaha said that beautification and renovation of Veerpur Dam, Mama Ka Dam and Hanuman Dam in heritage form should also be included in the projects being prepared to promote tourism of the city. He said that to develop these reservoirs from the point of view of tourism, attractive lighting, extensive plantation and gardens should be made around the reservoirs. Shri Kushwaha has asked to prepare the preliminary report of this project within the next seven days. He assured that all possible help would be provided from the government to complete the project of beautification of dams.
In a meeting held at VIP Circuit House, Murar on Sunday, Minister of State Shri Kushwaha, in coordination with Urban Water-Life Mission, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Water Resources Department and Smart City, directed to finalize the work plan for beautification of old water bodies connected with the city. lamps.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) Shri Kushwaha also directed in the meeting that there should be no problem of drinking water in the rural wards (61 to 66) that have joined Gwalior city. Drinking water should also be supplied through tankers in the habitations where it is needed. He also laid special emphasis on the earliest permanent solution to the drinking water problem of all these wards. Shri Kushwaha also directed the municipal officials to complete the incomplete works of these wards in a time-bound manner with full quality.
