Vaccination is going on in Gwalior district to prevent the global pandemic corona. Till June 15, the residents of the district have received 6 lakh 5 thousand 30 doses of corona vaccine. Out of these, 5 lakh 22 thousand 158 people have got the first vaccine and 82 thousand 872 people have got the second vaccine. In the first fortnight of the current June, one lakh 23 thousand 620 people were given the first vaccine of corona and 12 thousand 29 people got the second vaccine.
After the start of the ongoing corona vaccination campaign in the district, till June 15, 14 thousand 805 health workers have got the first and 10 thousand 20 health workers have got the second vaccine. Similarly, 24 thousand 181 front line workers have been vaccinated first and 13 thousand 451 front line workers have been vaccinated second. In the district, 2 lakh 66 thousand 764 people and 53 thousand 633 people of above 45 years of age have been given second dose. During this period 2 lakh 16 thousand 408 youths in the age group of 18 to 44 have reached the first dose and 5 thousand 768 youths have reached the second dose.
In the first fortnight of June, 13 thousand 663 people of above 45 years of age were given the first dose and 6 thousand 134 people were given second dose of vaccine. Similarly, one lakh 9 thousand 929 youths above 18 years of age were given the first dose and 5 thousand 768 youths were given the second dose of corona vaccine.
Adequate centers for vaccination have been set up across the district. Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh has appealed to the people of the district to reach the nearest center and vaccinate compulsorily to prevent the global pandemic Kovid-19. Everyone has been urged to get vaccinated to prevent the third wave of corona from coming. Also use a mask. Maintain a distance of two yards from each other and regularly sanitize your hands or wash them with soap.
