Gwalior Gharana is the oldest gharanas of Hindustani classical music, it is one of the oldest Khyal Gharana. There are many Gharans that actually originated from Gwalior Gharana. The rise of the Gwalior Gharana started with the reign of the Mughal emperor Akbar (1542–1605). Nathan Peer Baksh and Natthe Khan were the two people who founded Gwalior Gharana the 16th century.
