International Yoga Day will be celebrated on 21st June. In view of the infection of Covid-19, Yoga Day will be celebrated by doing yoga at their respective homes with voluntary participation. Following social distancing, the entire state will participate in the program by doing yoga voluntarily simultaneously.
In Gwalior district also, on International Yoga Day on 21st June, all the people have been urged to participate in the program by doing yoga voluntarily at their homes. A video and e-book has been prepared by the Department of AYUSH, Government of India, prescribing the common protocol regarding Yogasanas, which can be downloaded from the website yoga.ayush.gov.in. Along with this, necessary information regarding common yoga protocol has also been made available on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.
Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh informed that as per the instructions of the government, the program of 45 minutes duration will be broadcast from 7 am to 7.45 am on Doordarshan and other mediums as per the common protocol. During this period, public representatives, dignitaries, general public, students of colleges and schools, NCC cadets, NSS cadets, members of various eligible institutions, parents etc., participate voluntarily in the yoga program by staying at home. Due to the infection of Covid-19, no mass event of yoga will be organized.
